M&Z Chinese Restaurant - Fitzrovia

The most amazing and unique local chinese restaurant I have been to and I must say that the food is packed with flavours and the dishes are not the normal dishes that you expect to see in your western style chinese restaurants.I was holding myself giving away this top secret but I do feel that all Qypers should enjoy the experience and then let me know what your experience was like.I dont want to give away much about the dishes and want you all to try it to believe it.All I can say is that most of the customers are Chinese.

delicious food especially the vegetarian main dishes, in particular, the okra, bitter gourd and eggplant. It is also fantastic value for money with the quality and freshness factor. They also serve “family” nans which are served piping hot.

The best mushroom soup and Foccacia I have had in London and would welcome any suggestions from fellow Qypers if they know of any other good places which serve delicious soups-and I should not forget to mention the quality of all lunch time delicasies that they serve at this very refreshing food store

My experience was totally opposite of the 3 earlier reviews about this restaurant-We went for a team dinner last Friday and my main disappointment was the extremely poor service where paying customers are made to feel that they are doing the restaurant a favour!!! The mezze was ok but the veggie main courses=veg kebab and moussaka were a disaster-This is not a restaurant for large group bookings and the whole experience was very uncomfortable -London has a wealth of excellent Lebanese restaurants and in my opinion this is one of the worst!!!
Gilgamesh Restaurant - Camden

A truly amazing experience!!!!! always wanted to go there and we actually stumbled into the place in Camden after having gone to a Shisha bar at the Stables. We went at 7pm - it was nice and mellow-last Friday for a few drinks!!!the best shots I have had in London-The passionfruit vodka flavoured shots were awesome- had some prawn tempuras for biting and it was just so right!!!!in each and every category- you will not believe this - we had such a good time on Friday night that we went there again for one drink on Saturday night

I started going to go this restaurant in 1989, when my university accomodation was round the corner and it was a treat to go and eat some real home made curries and south indian dishes such as dosas, idlis etc.I went back there this afternoon for lunch as coincidentally i work round the corner!it is still as good and fresh as before. The decor has been slightly modernised and you will see reviews by famous food critics on the front window-try the lunch special for £4.95 dosa, chicken curry/lamb curry/veg curry and rice- good value for money

This place is set in beautiful English countryside in an ancient Roman town with a lot of history and the best way to finish off your historic tour would be to go and indulge in the tastiest waffles- sweet or savoury that I have ever had.We have had to wait for an hour in the queue in the summer but is worth every minute. The aroma of the hot waffles can by itself build an appetite.Save some space for deserts!!!!why can we not have more of these waffle houses around the country- i believe only 2 in the country so far….......

Excellent dim sum for a place in the suburbs.Had some delicious steamed beef balls in spicy soup and chinese ravioli which was equally delicious. You know this place is good because it is always busy and is frequented by Chinese families.Next time I will go and try dishes from their main menu and report back
