Excellent traditional Italian food in this family run pub & restaurant.

Have been here lots of times since these guys took it over and it's just been such a success. You definitely have to book because now everyone's found out what a great place it is. The secret's out now!

Great wine, great steak, seafood, veal chop especially recommended (if it's still on the menu). Food changes all the time and it's all top quality.

Car park and on 251 bus route from Mill Hill Broadway, Edgware.

Nice garden for sunny days, cosy fire inside on cold winter ones. Good selection of beers.

Tasty food (especially worth having the fish n chips), well priced and friendly staff (hello Mary!).

Recommended, if only cos it's the only pub for miles, it's in a beautiful part of Mill Hill with great views, and very quiet.

Has carpark and 5 mins on 240 bus from Mill Hill East underground station or Mill Hill Broadway.

Does the job, beer and cider is ok. Avoid the wine and don't talk to the locals - they won't be able to hear you through the booze-haze anyway.

Jukebox well stocked and seats comfy, but lights a bit bright and would benefit from free wi-fi.

Proximity to the station is the key to this place, ideal for a quick pint while waiting for your train. Definitely not one for a date or relaxing conversation.

Oh but totally better than The Bell (Mill Hill Broadway's only other pub).

If you like a bit of the local 'flava' of Mill Hill, this is the place for you.

Styled like a shabby all-bar-one with disgusting toilets and a shop-front littered with cigarette ends. But friendly staff, who I do pity.

Week nights are builders in trackie trousers and pramface mums or older boozers elbow-patched jackets or couples on ill-advised dates.

And why people go here for their Saturday night out I couldn't tell you, when the whole of London town is just 30 minutes away via the train station down the road. My sister and I actually prefer to go to The Bridge Tavern down the road where possible.

Friendly people, good music, nice garden, not too many girls in short skirts with their fannys hanging out (but a couple).

All round great place, I would go here again. My friend booked a big table outside for her birthday which worked so well. Queues at the bar not too long and everyone else had v tasty looking food.

Drinks a bit expensive though and I didn't stay to dance, but others had much fun.

sarahdrinkwater Simon, I love this review. What is it with you and fannies?

littlesimon Like - I literally don't remember!

TO BE AVOIDED. I went here on Saturday night and it was absolute mayhem - a swarm of hen parties, people being sick in corners, girls tottering on their stupid high heels. And this was only at 9.30pm, I mean what's wrong with these people.

In addition some of the bar staff were particularly rude (though door staff and others were nice) and there were SO many security staff bustling about, I've no idea why.

The music would have been great - if I'd stayed long enough to enjoy it.

Fantastic menu, with a few unusual dishes to tickle the tastebuds. I had a delicious Rabbit with mushrooms and pancetta (actually, don't remember the pancetta now I think about it) with mash, and friend had venison burger (slightly stodgy).

Friendly service, cute decor. Went for early Sunday lunch and good job I booked, as people were being turned away.

Went here on a Friday early evening with some friends, for food and some drinks - so sat in the restaurant part. It wasn't busy, but table service was slow and one of our starters orders was completely forgotten about!

When the mains finally arrived, the chips were so salty nobody would eat them. Sent back, but they returned just as bad.

Two of us had Winchester special burger, neither of which was cooked as we asked, and mine was cold. By this point we were all so hungry we didn't care, so ate anyway.

Nice manager did take on board our complaints and knocked some money off the bill. But still was a bit expensive.

Excellent cod; very fresh, and great chips; crispy and fat. Fast, friendly service. Had take-away so can’t comment on the ‘restaurant’, but definitely don’t be put off by the exterior.
